Shocking images of disabled boy punched and kicked in school attack

Some of the footage, thought to have been filmed by fellow pupils at Commonweal School, was shared by the “heartbroken” mother of the boy and shows the wheelchair user on the ground in a playing field being attacked with punches and kicks by another boy.

The school said that they are aware of the incident that happened on Wednesday, July 2 and were taking it “very seriously”, and an investigation has been launched.

The boy in the video appears to have been kicked and punched in the head multiple times by another pupil while a crowd of other pupils watched.

One of the clips shows another student intervening, ending the attack by pushing the perpetrator away.

The boy also appeared to have been dragged a significant distance from his empty wheelchair during the incident.

While we are not sharing the video, snapshots taken from it show the incident unfold.

“Then punched and kicked to the head by other pupils at his, what is supposed to be, ‘a safe place’ school.

“I am absolutely heartbroken to have received these videos and also incredibly angry!

“This happened at Commonweal School yesterday, July 2, 2025.”

A spokesperson for Commonweal School said: “All young people have a right to confidentiality.

“The Commonweal School cannot therefore comment on any specific incidents involving young people.

“We are aware of a video circulating on social media, and the incident it shows a part of.

“We are taking this incident very seriously. We are investigating in detail, liaising with parents, carers, and other agencies, and will respond appropriately.”

One person said: “Absolutely heartbreaking to see this behaviour, thoughts are with the young man who was put through such a horrible ordeal.”

Another added: “This is disgusting. My heart is breaking for you. I hope you get to the bottom of this and these thugs are seriously reprimanded with proper consequences.”

A third person said: “You send your children to school with the assumption that they will be safe, but to see this poor young man get treated like this was simply awful.”

It is believed that Wiltshire Police are looking into the matter, but it is not known whether a formal investigation has been launched.
