The new sweet has been available exclusively at John Lewis and Waitrose stores nationwide at pick and mix stations.
It joined the line-up of 11 classic favourites, including ‘The Purple One’, ‘The Green Triangle’ and ‘Strawberry Delight’.
Shoppers were able to create their own bespoke tins this festive season, using the new mystery flavour, the returning Coffee Creme, or any of the other Quality Street chocolates.
Plenty of guesses were made about what the flavour of the new chocolate was, which ranged from Lemon & Lime to Pistachio and Lemon Curd.
What was Quality Street’s new mystery chocolate?
Quality Street revealed that the new flavour was Pineapple Creme, which the company revealed some people had guessed correctly.
Rachael Mundy, Marketing Manager for Gifting & Seasonal at Nestlé Confectionery UK & Ireland, said: “Each year we look forward to bringing a limited edition sweet into the mix to excite and delight Quality Street fans, but this year we took it a step further by keeping the flavour top secret.
“It’s been so fun hearing everyone’s guesses, and the team is relieved to finally be able to shout about the mysterious Pineapple Creme.”
