Discover hidden gardens of Wiltshire on open days this June

The events kick off this week, giving adults and children the chance to explore different types of gardens.

1. Preston Farm House

On June 13, a glorious garden with countryside views and roses tumbling over arches will open at Preston Farm House, Preston, Marlborough. SN8 2HF.

Designed by Justin Spink over the last 20 years, the garden is divided into different areas offering a wonderful place to explore and enjoy.

It will open from 12pm until 4pm and an admission fee of £8.00 is required.

Home-made teas will also be available.

2. Seend House and Seend Manor

Seend House and Seend Manor share an opening day on June 15.

Each has enticing gardens and landscapes to enjoy with combined admission of £10.

They offer great views across the valley to Salisbury Plain & gardens are divided into various designs, exploring different global themes.

You can find them at High Street, Seend, Melksham, SN12 6NR.

3. Chisenbury Priory

The Sunday of June 16 brings five garden events starting with Chisenbury Priory, East Chisenbury, SN9 6AQ opening between 2-6pm.

This one has an admission fee of £5 for adults, the captivating medieval Priory is surrounded by herbaceous borders, shrubs, roses, and an orchard to explore.

4. Cholderton Estate

Next, there’s Cholderton Estate at Kingsettle Stud, Cholderton Park, Cholderton, SP4 0DX with beautiful features such as a Victorian walled garden, peony walk and a working kitchen garden.

This one on June 16 between 2pm and 5pm also has an admission fee of £5 for adults.

5. Cottage in the trees

Cottage in the trees on Tidworth Rd, Boscombe Village, nr Salisbury, SP4 0AD has features such as a wildlife pond, raised vegetable beds and a gravel garden.

This one takes place on June 16 from 1:30pm until 5pm, and admission costs £4 for adults.

6, Group openings

Garden groups in Dauntsey Gardens, ranging from classical to mature country gardens, opens their doors on June 16 too from1pm until 5pm.

You can find them on Church Lane, Dauntsey, Malmesbury, SN15 4HT, with admission costing £10 for adults.

7. Gold hill

Gold hill on Hindon Lane, Tisbury, Salisbury, SP3 6PZ, is an Arts & Crafts inspired house and garden created on a derelict builder’s yard, which will also be taking part.

Admission for this one is £5 for adults, and it is on from 2pm until 5pm on June 16.

8. Hannington village gardens

Contributing seven gardens, Hannington village gardens offers a variety of large manor houses and small cottage designs.

You can find this one in Hannington, Swindon, SN6 7RP from 11am-5pm on June 16, with admission costing £8 for adults.

9. North Cottage

The final garden to be featured is at North Cottage, Tisbury Row, Tisbury, SP3 6RZ with each part of the garden differing in style and feel, boasting unique handmade pottery and woodwork.

The event is taking place on June 16 from 11am until 5pm, and admission costs £5 for adults.
